Historical information SS SeaBreeze Cruise Ship Model:
The ship was launched on March 31, 1957 and completed in March 1958 by the Ansaldo Sestri Ponente shipyard in Italy under the name Federico C, marking the first new ship built for Costa Cruises. Initially, it operated between Genoa, Italy and Buenos Aires, Argentina, via Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
In 1983, Premier Cruises acquired the ship and renamed it Royale; later that same year it was rebranded as StarShip Royale. In 1988 the ship was renamed SeaBreeze upon entering service for Dolphin Cruise Lines. A year later the vessel underwent refurbishment. Premier assumed ownership of the ship when it acquired Dolphin in 1997. Following Premier’s cessation of operations in September 2000, the ship was immediately laid up and docked in Halifax. A few days later it departed for Freeport, Bahamas.
